Job Description:
New: Medical Writer (Remote UK/Hybrid possible). Innovative growing healthcare consulting firm.
An exciting opportunity to join a growing consulting firm with excellent staff retention rates in the healthcare/pharma space. Be part of a fun, people-focused culture where everyone supports each other, balancing work and personal life.
The role suits a medical writer who enjoys hands-on writing and working in a collaborative, close-knit team. You will have support for growth and development, with no pressure to involve in sales or business development. The position offers good visibility in a mid-sized company and the chance to work on global projects.
Much of the company's work involves repeat business and organic growth, with HEOR publications/manuscripts being a key deliverable.
Role scope includes:
* Drafting, revising, and finalizing scientific materials such as abstracts for conferences, scientific posters, slide decks for presentations, and data visualizations.
* Articulating complex information clearly and concisely.
* Evaluating and interpreting source documents, developing tables and figures.
* Providing editing, proofreading, and quality control for other writers and researchers.
* Collaborating with internal and client teams to ensure scientific accuracy using protocols, reports, and study data.
* Participating remotely in client meetings as needed.
* Incorporating reviewer comments to improve documents.
* Addressing conflicting comments from authors and reviewers.
* Performing online literature searches and summarizing findings.
* Coordinating journal and abstract submissions following guidelines.
* Contributing to internal thought leadership projects.
Qualifications include:
* MSc or higher degree in a life science, public health, or health economics-related field.
* At least 2 years of experience in technical writing, as a professional or student.
* Strong attention to detail, clarity, and scientific accuracy.
* Effective communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Experience writing for the pharmaceutical industry, public health, RWE, epidemiology, or HEOR is highly preferred.
