Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team here at Kidz Ingleton.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and educational activities to young children, fostering their development in a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development Supervise children during the day, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times. Support children's individual needs through personalised care and attention Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment that encourages learning and exploration Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement curriculum plans and maintain high standards of childcare Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and wellbeing Assist in the organisation of nursery events and activities to enhance children's social skills Uphold health and safety regulations in accordance with statutory requirements and nursery policies Requirements Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting trong communication skills to guide both children and team members effectively Have good English, both verbal and written Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices Ability to work well as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and independence Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation or outings Passionate about child development with a caring, patient, and nurturing attitude Relevant childcare qualifications or certifications are preferred but not mandatory for all applicants Must be at least Level 2 qualified or above in a UK recognised early years qualification. Have strong understanding of EYFS. Pediatric First Aid is desirable but can be completed on in the setting. We also support staff development and training. Kidz Day Nursery is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. We expect all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment, and safeguarding training is a fundamental part of every role. All colleagues are required to complete regular training to ensure they understand and fulfil their responsibilities. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is mandatory for all positions, and this role will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duties.Three refreces will be required for this postion.
