We are partnered with a well-established organisation within the mental health sector that are seeking to expand their team by appointing an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist. In the role, you will play vital part in the inpatient treatment and rehabilitation of women who are suffering from various mental disorders including personality disorder and/or mild learning disabilities.
The site have obtained a "Good" CQC rating, has excellent working facilities and is based on the outskirts of Leeds.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide overall clinical leadership and assume responsibility for patient care, including leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, undertaking comprehensive risk and strategic reviews, and fostering a therapeutic environment.
* Undertaking the duties of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
* Delivering specialist psychiatric expertise to the multidisciplinary team, contributing to the assessment, formulation, and evidence-based treatment of patients.
* Actively participate in management and clinical governance forums, supporting high standards of care and contribute to the ongoing development of service strategy.
* Contribute to internal training initiatives and providing clinical supervision to members of the multidisciplinary team, with a particular focus on junior medical staff.
* Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and fulfilling revalidation requirements in accordance with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and other relevant regulatory bodies.
Essential:
* Medically Qualified (MRC Psych or equivalent)
* Previous Consultant Experience within a management role
* Substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation & experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues
* Possess a strong and up-to-date understanding of current developments in psychiatry and the wider field of mental health.
* Demonstrate innovation and creativity, with the ability to initiate and contribute to strategic organisational decision-making.
