A client within the Public Sector based in South West is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer (Fire Risk Assessment) to join their Planned Maintenance / Housing Delivery team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority housing and fire safety environment. The Role Key purpose of the role: To manage and deliver Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) remedial works across housing stock, ensuring full compliance with fire safety legislation. The role will involve identifying remedial actions from FRA reports, coordinating delivery teams, managing contractors, and providing technical fire safety advice to non-technical colleagues while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Reviewing FRA reports and identifying required remedial works across housing assets • Developing scopes of work, specifications, drawings, and schedules of rates for fire safety works • Managing projects end-to-end, including raising orders, certifying payments, and updating asset records • Undertaking site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with Health & Safety, CDM and Fire Safety Regulations • Liaising with contractors, in-house teams, leaseholders, and stakeholders to ensure effective...
