Godiva Lodge in Coventry s looking for a compassionate and reliable Housekeeper to join our care home team. In this role, you’ll help create a clean, safe, and comforting environment for residents living with dementia. Your work will directly support their wellbeing and sense of security, making you an essential part of daily life in the home.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain high standards of cleanliness across resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and staff spaces
2. Carry out routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitising surfaces, and emptying bins
3. Support infection-control procedures and follow all health and safety guidelines
4. Support with laundry duties such as washing, drying, ironing, and organising clothing and linens
5. Restock supplies (toiletries, cleaning products, paper goods) as needed
6. Report maintenance issues or concerns promptly
What We’re Looking For:
7. Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (care home experience is helpful but not essential)
8. An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, dementia and person‑centred care
9. A gentle, reassuring approach when around residents
10. Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a welcoming environment
11. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
