We are seeking a contract Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to support a premium UK automotive OEM at their Surrey-based manufacturing facility. This high-impact role focuses on resolving supplier quality issues, supporting new product introduction, and driving continuous improvement across a high-performance supply base. Key Responsibilities Proactively manage quality concerns with high-risk suppliers to maintain production flow. Monitor supplier metrics (PPM, NCRs) and initiate CSL1 / CSL2 as needed. Create and implement formal containment and inspection plans. Conduct structured problem-solving using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis. Lead root cause investigations and drive permanent corrective actions. Oversee third-party inspection/sorting activity and manage chargebacks. Escalate persistently underperforming suppliers and support risk mitigation.
