Purchase Ledger Clerk
Hyde, Greater Manchester
Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (35 hrs/week)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Hyde, Greater Manchester, who are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong purchase ledger experience to support a busy and friendly finance department in a full-time, office-based role.
About the Role
You will take ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger function — ensuring accuracy in invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier reconciliations, while providing excellent support to internal teams and external suppliers.
? Key Responsibilities
Match, code, and process invoices and delivery notes
Reconcile supplier statements and review aged creditors
Set up and maintain supplier account records
Process payments via BACS, SEPA, and foreign currency
Handle queries, intercompany reconciliations, and staff expenses
? What We're Looking For
Essential:
Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger or finance role
Confident working as part of a team
Professional and polite telephone manner
Desirable:
Experience handling foreign currencies
Familiarity with ERP systems
Basic Excel proficiency
