HAYS is recruiting for a CAD Assistant to work on a site at Porton Down. You will support the CAD manager in maintaining site plans, including services, assets, and grounds of DSTL Porton Down. You will also respond to requests for drawings efficiently and effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining and updating record drawings using AutoCAD software
2. Undertaking general administrative duties as required
3. Distributing and sharing information internally to meet customer needs
4. Receiving and disseminating information to team members to ensure delivery
5. Maintaining office systems in an orderly manner
6. Supporting business functions as part of a team
7. Assisting with service delivery to clients as directed by team leaders/management
8. Managing spreadsheets, databases, and producing reports
9. Collaborating with Projects Team and Clients on building services
10. Producing and updating drawings
11. Reviewing third-party drawings
Requirements for this role include:
* Experience with AutoCAD software
* Knowledge of building services/construction industry software such as BIM Modelling
* Experience with Revit software (desirable)
* Willingness to travel occasionally to other sites
* Experience working in an MOD environment and familiarity with local geography and establishments (desirable)
* Ability to pass SC Clearance
* British nationality
