1:1 Tutor – Rushden Area TP Tutors are seeking passionate educators who are dedicated to making a positive difference in children’s lives by helping them achieve their academic goals and improve their engagement with learning. This role involves working closely with students on a 1:1 basis, delivering high-quality tutoring sessions in English and Maths to support their progress and build confidence. Many of the learners may currently be outside of a mainstream school setting and require additional academic support. Tutoring sessions will take place in students’ homes or local libraries in and around the Rushden area. Tutor Requirements Professional teaching qualifications are preferred ( Qualified Teacher Status – QTS ). Strong subject knowledge of English and Maths at KS3 level. Experience working with children or young people with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs. An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through TP Tutors (support will be provided). This Role Involves Planning and delivering engaging sessions for students working below expected levels. Using a range of behavioural strategies to keep learners motivated and engaged. Developing a child-centred learning approach based on each student’s needs and interests. Assessing progress, providing constructive feedback, and planning next steps to support improvement.
