Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join Peterhead Community Hospital. This post is ideal for newly qualified OTs looking to consolidate their skills in a supportive environment, as well as those with existing experience who are keen to develop their practice further within a community hospital setting.
Responsibilities
* Manage a designated caseload, delivering high-quality, person-centred assessments and interventions to support patients during their stay in the community hospital.
* Support safe, timely and effective discharge, helping patients achieve maximum independence.
* Work as part of a well-established, multi-professional and multi-agency team, contributing to coordinated care planning and rehabilitation.
* Provide professional advice and support to occupational therapy support workers and students, helping to build skills and confidence across the service.
Qualifications
* Hold a BSc in Occupational Therapy
* Be HCPC registered (or eligible for registration)
* Have enthusiasm for community hospital rehabilitation and discharge planning
* Enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
