growth, we are seeking a driven Commercial Partnerships sales manager to help
drive our partnerships sales, increase revenues and deliver exceptional value across
our clients and owned properties.
Role Overview
Based in our Sela London office, the Commercial Partnerships Sales Manager is an
integral part of the commercial team working on key projects such as Premier Padel,
Boxing and an exciting new football series. You will work closely with our insights
partners to development our pipeline of prospect sponsors for all Sela and client
projects and then execute the sales outreach plan. This role requires previous sales
experience in sport sponsorship, preferably a network of brand relationships, and
proven success in securing partnerships across sports. The role includes
responsibility for reviewing and interpreting market insights and trends, defining
priority categories and target brands, planning and driving outreach to companies,
through a variety of channels, pipeline management through our CRM database and
creating weekly reports for the Sela International commercial leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
• Planning and executing sales outreach of commercial partnerships across Sela’s
owned and client projects.
• Collaborate closely with insights team, marketing, legal, strategy, events,
production and creative teams to ensure high quality of sales collateral and
alignment of property assets.
• Key contributor to the partnerships revenue pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting
and transparent reporting through our Sela CRM database.
• Support with new business development, identifying potential opportunities for
commercial partnerships sales across new sports properties.
• Build and maintain relationships with brand decision-makers, rights holders,
agencies and industry stakeholders.
• Develop compelling, insight-driven proposals tailored to brand partner objectives.
• Work with legal teams to negotiate, draft and finalise partnership agreements,
ensuring accuracy, compliance and value.
• Support renewal negotiations based on insights, performance and strategic
alignment.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to partners, rights holders and internal
leadership.
• Represent Sela at industry conferences, networking events, and client
presentations.
Skills & Experience
• 3+ years’ experience in commercial partnerships, sponsorship, business
development or commercial roles within sports.
• A track record in securing multi-year partnerships.
• Experience of using CRM databases ie. Salesforce, Hubspot etc.
• Organised and can produce regular sales update reports and populate pipeline
template.
• Good communication, pitch and negotiation capabilities.
• Plenty of energy and creativity, with attention to detail.
• Network of contacts across brands, agencies, and rights holders beneficial but not
essential.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile and evolving environment.
