Service Care Solutions is working with a respected local authority, based in Derbyshire, which is seeking an experienced Criminal and Regulatory Solicitor to join their legal. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal professional with strong advocacy and prosecutions experience to take on a varied caseload within a supportive local government environment.

Salary
Umbrella Rate: £50–£55 per hour PAYE Inc.
Contract Rate: £43.61 – £47.96 per hour
Contract Length
3 months ongoing – open to part time
Responsibilities
* Manage a mixed caseload of criminal and regulatory matters on behalf of the authority
* Conduct advocacy and provide legal advice across a range of enforcement issues
* Handle criminal prosecutions and regulatory matters
* Attend court approximately 2–3 times per week
* Manage cases from instruction through to conclusion
* Draft legal documentation and prepare cases for hearings
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales) with 3 or more years of PQE in criminal litigation and regulatory law
* Confident undertaking advocacy in court
* Ideally experienced working for a local authority within a criminal and regulatory legal team
