Public Protection Service - Safeguarding Communities, Empowering Lives

We're looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Environmental Health Officer to join our creative Public Protection team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide range of disciplines - food hygiene, food standards, health and safety, trading standards, animal health, environmental protection, licensing, ASB/Community Safety, and pest control.

You'll be part of a team that values innovation and sustainability in regulatory services, contributing to both proactive and reactive programmes. From inspections and compliance work to collaborative projects with other officers, you'll help protect public health and support our shared commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.

We're looking for someone who has completed their Environmental Health Practitioner Portfolio and is a CIEH registered Environmental Health Practitioner. You will bring experience in food safety, health and safety, and infectious disease control, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage your workload independently. A UK driving licence is essential, and knowledge of high-risk food processes is a bonus.
