As the Quantity Surveyor within our Commercial Team, you will play a vital role in the success of our projects, managing the financial and contractual aspects of the Smart Metering framework. This role suits someone passionate about project profitability, using data to create insights and drive improvements throughout the contract.
You will be part of a dedicated team working on the Smart Metering programme, focusing on managing our Sub-Contract partners throughout their lifecycle—from selection and onboarding to delivery and final account. Your responsibilities include ensuring contractual compliance, managing financial aspects like cost reporting and cash flow, providing commercial advice, and managing risks and opportunities.
This role requires proactive, strategic individuals committed to delivering results and making a real impact. You will manage the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring successful and within-budget completion.
What you'll bring
* Previous experience with Quantity Surveying, preferably in Utilities Contracting
* BSc in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying or relevant experience if not
* Understanding of NEC and other Construction contracts
* Ability to use data to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities
* Full driving license for site-based travel
* Effective communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders at all levels
