Wirral Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, person-centred service that supports the independence, wellbeing, and dignity of adults in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake Care Act (2014) assessments and reviews.
Complete Mental Capacity Act (2005) assessments and Best Interest decisions.
Conduct safeguarding enquiries in line with current legislation and procedures.
Participate in Continuing Health Care (CHC) processes, including attending MDTs and contributing to DSTs.
Engage in face-to-face visits with service users as required.
Collaborate effectively with health professionals, carers, and other key stakeholders.
About You:
We are looking for a practitioner who:
Is Social Work England registered.
Has solid experience in adult social care settings.
Demonstrates strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, MCA 2005, and CHC frameworks.
Is confident in undertaking safeguarding work and applying thresholds appropriately.
Is flexible, organised, and committed to promoting independence and person-centred outcomes.
Additional Information:
This is a locum position with immediate start available.
