Maintenance Engineer – Avonmouth Permanent | Full-time We are currently working with a client who's production continuing to grow so we’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer/Fitter to join their team in Avonmouth. You’ll play a key role in keeping the site running smoothly by carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy plant equipment. This is a hands-on role working closely with the Shift Supervisor, production teams and contractors to ensure all maintenance activity is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll build a strong understanding of the plant, support ongoing improvements, and help ensure all maintenance systems comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Carry out daily, weekly and monthly planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities in line with manuals and manufacturer instructions, ensuring accurate logging. Maintain housekeeping standards in the workshop and manage consumables. Take responsibility for spares, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring critical items are readily available to minimise downtime. Provide hands-on guidance and training to support teams with preventative and reactive maintenance. Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs to keep the plant running.
