Position: Operational Trainer
Location: C&C IRC - Campsfield House Immigration Removal Centre, Oxford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours

Their Training Team is a vital part of Learning and Development, supporting the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that all colleagues, are fully equipped to perform their roles and empowered to reach their full potential.
Job objectives and responsibilities:
* Oversee the completion of the Centre's Training Plan, including the delivery of ITCs, non-operational staff training, refreshers, and more.
* Deliver training packages to new and experienced Care & Custody colleagues, both virtually and in person, embedding best practice, ensuring compliance with legislative and contractual requirements, and completing relevant assessments.
* Create Train the Trainer programmes for Operational Coaches, Buddies, and Mentors.
* Apply a range of training techniques tailored to diverse learning styles, neurodiversity, and individual needs.
* Monitor delegate progress during training and provide constructive verbal and written feedback to support their development throughout foundational training.
* Collaborate with the Training Support Team to maintain accurate records of individual training and assessments, including attendance tracking for recruitment, remuneration, and vetting purposes.
* Conduct regular reviews of existing training materials and recommend updates to drive continuous improvement.
* Assist the Training Manager in promoting training initiatives across the centre and Care & Custody, helping all staff reach their full potential.
* Contribute to the design, development, review, and ongoing enhancement of bespoke Care & Custody learning packages, working closely with the Centre Training Manager, Regional Training Managers, and the wider Operational Training Team to ensure materials reflect current processes and policies.
What we are looking for:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a people-facing training role,
* Willingness to travel occasionally to other locations for training and development, including potential overnight stays,
* Proven experience using a variety of techniques to support training and development activities,
* Level 3 Education and Training or equivalent,
* Demonstrated ability to adapt behaviours, communication styles, and approaches to suit diverse audiences,
* Clear, confident, and effective written communication,
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office and related systems,
* Instructor qualifications in Use of Force (Control and Restraint [C&R], Home Office Manual for Escorting Safely [HOMES], or Spontaneous Protection Enabling an Accelerated Response [SPEAR]), First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, or Health & Safety are desirable but not required,
* You must be eligible for CTC clearance.
You must hold a valid British passport or an EU passport with a share code. Additionally, you must have lived and worked in the UK for at least 3 years, without any extended trips overseas. Applicants must have no criminal convictions and must not be subject to any ongoing police investigations.
