HGV Class 1 Driver
Warrington | £18.06/hr | Start times: From 04:00 onwards
OverviewWe are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on flatbed and commercial driving, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high safety standards. The position is full-time and involves delivering goods using a large lorry, primarily on national routes.
Responsibilities
* Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in compliance with all road safety and traffic regulations
* Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
* Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo on flatbeds
* Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel efficiency
* Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
* Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues
* Adhere to health and safety policies at all times during driving and loading activities
Experience
* Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant driving experience
* Delivery driver experience preferred, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
* Knowledge of road regulations and safety procedures for large vehicle operation
* Familiarity with route planning and GPS navigation systems is advantageous
Candidates should possess a clean driving licence, relevant experience in commercial driving, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
