Data Protection Consultant
Location: Based at our Head Office near Leeds City Centre (Hybrid working available)
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE
Contract: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Our consultancy team acts as outsourced Data Protection Officers (DPOs) for organisations of all sizes, helping them to stay compliant, manage risk, and find practical solutions to complex challenges.
We are currently recruiting for two Data Protection Consultants to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to develop your career in a role that offers variety, challenge, and exposure to multiple industries.
Your Responsibilities
 * Act as an outsourced DPO for a portfolio of clients across different sectors.
 * Provide expert advice on data protection compliance, GDPR, UK DPA 2018, and FOI.
 * Deliver consultancy services such as audits, advisory projects, and compliance reviews.
 * Support clients with Subject Access Requests (SARs), data breaches, and other complex issues.
 * Keep clients updated on changes to legislation and best practice.
 * Contribute to the development of DPP’s reference library, toolkits, and processes.
 * Work collaboratively with other consultants to ensure consistent standards and share expertise.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for passionate, driven individuals with a proven background in data protection who want to develop their careers as consultants.
Essential Requirements
 * Solid experience in data protection (GDPR, UK DPA 2018, FOI).
 * Recognised Data Protection qualification (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar).
 * Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
 * Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
 * A proactive and solution-focused approach.
Desirable
 * Previous experience as a Data Protection Officer.
 * Interest in contributing to blogs, webinars, or podcasts.
