Location: Hertfordshire / St. Albans / Watford region. Salary: cGBP40k neg dep exp + up to GBP7500 call out allowance + vehicle / allowances + generous bonus + exceptional benefits package. Our client specialises in the design, manufacture and support of bespoke in vitro diagnostic solutions for supply world-wide. They are recruiting an experienced and self-motivated multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to join their professional team and provide high levels of technical customer service and support in the Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of automated laboratory equipment in Clinical and Industrial markets.
Responsibilities
* Install, service, repair and provide technical support for automated laboratory equipment in hospitals, laboratories and blue-chip FMCG environments.
* Manage vehicle stock inventory efficiently and in line with guidelines; ensure activities are completed on time with accurate documentation per engineering and service department requirements.
* Attend training courses as required to gain or maintain knowledge and ensure high levels of service to customers and stakeholders.
* Assist with project work to meet deadlines and provide on-call customer support as part of the Service Team rota.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and applicable industry regulations (including Health and Safety) and follow SSOW on site.
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence.
* Minimum qualification: ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline.
* 3+ years of experience in a comparable service or maintenance environment; laboratory or medical equipment experience is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels.
