Estates Manager - Part-Time - 12 Month FTC - Birmingham \n\nAre you an experienced property professional looking for a flexible, part-time role within a highly respected in-house property & estates team?\n\nThis could be the perfect opportunity for you.\n\nThe Company:\n\nThis prestigious and nationally recognised retail business is known for delivering exceptional customer service across its wide-reaching UK portfolio. With nearly 200 properties including retail stores, residential flats, and investment assets, they're looking for a seasoned Senior Estates Manager to support their busy team on a part-time basis for a 12-month period.\n\nThe Role:\n\nAs Estates Manager, you will report to the Head of Property and play a key role in the strategic and day-to-day management of the company's mixed-use property portfolio. This is a varied role, encompassing asset management, lease advisory, lettings, and landlord & tenant work.
You'll also support with budgeting, maintenance coordination, and maximising value across the estate.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nManaging the operational and commercial property portfolio, including retail stores and sublet commercial and residential assets.\nLeading lease negotiations and property management activities to secure the best possible commercial outcomes.\nIdentifying and delivering new income opportunities and lettings.\nPreparing financial appraisals and approval documents for property transactions.\nSupporting budget setting and monitoring delivery against property objectives.\nCoordinating planned and reactive maintenance with internal and external teams.\n\nThe Ideal Candidate:\n\nYou will be an experienced property professional with a background in estates or asset management, ideally gained in a retail, leisure, or commercial property setting.\n\nRequirements:\n\nStrong knowledge of property and lease management principles.\nProven experience in landlord and tenant matters, lease negotiations, and estate strategy.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\nCommercially focused and financially literate.\nMRICS qualification preferred but not essential.\nA proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.\nA valid UK driving licence.\n\nThe Offer:\n\nCompetitive pro-rata salary\nCar allowance\nCompany pension\nEmployee discounts\nFlexible working pattern\n\nOpportunity to work in a collaborative, people-first environment\n\nInterested?\n\nTo find out more or to apply, please contact Lucy Wynn:\n\n📧 \n\nAt Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
