About the Role
Reporting to the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure the smooth flow of information to production.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
6. Creation & Maintenance of Bill of Materials for Production & New Product Development
7. Processing Production & Engineering Change Orders
8. Creation and maintenance standard hours in the system to aid fully costed BOM’s and planning input.
9. Production support to the Manufacturing Department
10. Creation & maintenance of kit lists for machineshop to ensure accurate kitting.
11. Weekly and monthly reporting on site efficiency & variances to standard cost.
12. Costing estimates for new product and revisions.
13. Support and Drive Continuous Improvement Projects.
Experience & Qualifications:
14. Minimum HNC / HND Engineering Qualification or demonstrate extensive relevant knowledge through on job experience.
15. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) would be advantageous
16. Competent in use of Microsoft packages
17. Experience of 3D modelling software would be advantageous
18. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
