The Role
The Mechanical Supervisor will be part of our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organization in BDUK, supporting key aircraft programs. Responsibilities include:
 * Deliver aircraft maintenance under Boeing’s MAA MRP Part 145 approvals or MOD customer approvals.
 * Assembly, disassembly, modification of systems and aerospace vehicle components.
 * Perform routine troubleshooting of complex aircraft systems—pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic—to isolate faults and repair components in accordance with approved maintenance documents.
 * Be flexible with work locations and times to ensure on‑time delivery to customers.
 * Provide advice, guidance and mentoring to peers and team members.
 * Exercise oversight of work carried out by apprentices or trainees, and provide mentoring.
 * Mitigate immediate risks, including “stop work,” and raise emerging risks, issues and shortfalls.
 * Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and projects as required.
 * Maintain a culture of transparent reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Recognised trade apprenticeship or equivalent trade experience.
 * Knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes and safety (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety, COSHH).
 * Experience in commercial or defence environments is an advantage.
 * Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer skills.
 * Effective team member within an inclusive culture.
This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance (SC) and UK residency.
