A leading accountancy firm that has seen considerable recent growth is looking to recruit a high-calibre Audit Senior.
Your new role
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Take responsibility for end‑to‑end audit engagements, ensuring each stage is delivered to a consistently high standard.
2. Maintain well‑structured working papers by compiling and organising all required evidence and documentation.
3. Review financial information from clients to draw conclusions, highlight issues, and suggest practical improvements.
4. Monitor adherence to professional standards, regulatory expectations, and internal risk and quality frameworks.
5. Develop strong client rapport, becoming a reliable point of contact for both long‑standing and newly onboarded clients.
6. Understand client objectives and challenges, proposing customised solutions and ensuring they are carried out effectively.
7. Respond to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner to strengthen trust and long‑term relationships.
8. Guide less experienced colleagues by offering support, answering queries, and reviewing their work for accuracy.
9. Work closely with colleagues to ensure audit outputs and client deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
10. Produce work that meets statutory obligations and aligns with relevant legal requirements.
11. Draft and check client submissions-such as financial statements, tax returns, payroll‑related filings, and VAT reports-to ensure they are correct and compliant.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (or near to qualifying) with proven audit experience gained within public practice.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
