If you’re a Private Client Solicitor with experience across wills, probate and LPAs, this role offers autonomy, a steady flow of work, and genuine scope for progression within a well-established, community-focused practice.
Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload independently across the full spectrum of private client services, including estate administration, will drafting, and lasting powers of attorney.
* Work with a broad client base made up largely of long-standing local clients, many of whom are repeat instructions or walk-ins.
* Collaborate with experienced colleagues and receive support from a dedicated secretary while maintaining a high standard of client service.
* Contribute to the firm’s succession planning as the Head of Department takes on greater management responsibilities.
* Develop trusted, long-term client relationships with regular work generated through the firm for consistency.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience across wills, probate and lasting powers of attorney (LPAs).
* STEP membership or progression towards it would be advantageous but not essential.
Offer and Working Arrangements
* Permanent, office-based role with hybrid working considered on a case-by-case basis (typically one to two days WFH).
* Salary in the region of £40,000 – £60,000, plus benefits including 6 weeks’ holiday, Christmas closure, birthday off, pension scheme, and free parking/paid permit.
* Profit-related bonus scheme that is regularly paid.
* Clear route to partnership as part of the firm’s succession planning.
* Small, supportive, non-corporate firm culture with around 20 employees across two offices.
