Overview
The Environment Agency is recruiting for two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance (STA) directorate. The PMO focuses on creating a centralised portfolio that drives change, transformation, and continuous improvement. You will analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio, help to set the standards for benefits and value management, and assist in embedding these standards across teams. You will help teams identify, value and validate their project benefits.
Responsibilities
* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project and programme managers across the portfolio to support decision-making and risk management.
* Help set and embed standards for benefits and value management across the portfolio.
* Identify, value, and validate project benefits to support delivery and transformation efforts.
* Contribute to shaping and optimising the project Portfolio to ensure strategic alignment and evidence-based management.
Experience / Qualifications
* Strong analytical skills with proven experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.
* Clear communication skills, able to explain complex analysis simply and persuasively to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivation and adaptability, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits, or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, encouraging consideration of diversity issues in work.
* A willingness to participate in development opportunities and receive appropriate training.
Additional Information
You will have an EA Office base location; as this is a national role, the working location is hybrid. Some travel and overnight stays may be required. Interviews are planned via MS Teams during the week beginning 3 November 2025. Applications are blind assessed based on competency questions.
