Overview
Claims Insights Manager role to lead insights into Claims data for the whole group, ensuring data is readily available, reviewing Claims trend data, and liaising with Reserving & Underwriting teams across all lines of business.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Claims Operations to ensure claims data is accessible and up to date.
* Analyse claims data to generate insights across the Portfolio Solutions portfolio, identifying trends and patterns that may require further investigation.
* Work closely with Reserving and Underwriting teams to review Portfolio Solutions portfolios, ensuring claims performance is well understood and informing any underwriting actions or reserving adjustments.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* Partner with underwriters to understand the nature of the business and its claims requirements.
* Where lead business is written, claims handling will sit with existing non-Portfolio Solutions claims teams; however, this role will engage with relevant claims managers ahead of placement to ensure appropriate servicing arrangements, forward planning, or delegated authority structures are in place.
* Oversee, reserve, and report on claims arising within the Portfolio Solutions team.
* Act as the primary claims contact for the group.
Experience Required
* Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, market-leading claims insights.
* Open to innovation and new approaches, with a solid understanding of claims governance and control frameworks, including those relevant to the Lloyd's market.
* Experience in overseeing and analysing claims across multiple lines of insurance business, including both first-party and third-party claims, ideally within the Lloyd's environment.
* Proven ability to provide effective oversight and a strong understanding of technical claims handling.
* A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Good understanding of reserving philosophies and their impact across the claims lifecycle, both at individual claim and portfolio levels.
* Experience applying analytical techniques to interpret data and generate meaningful insights into claims performance and issues.
