Description
This role will support our VAT & Customs Partner, providing customs services to new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare customs declarations and resolve any issues with clients to ensure that the declaration is submitted in a timely manner.
* Undertake commodity code checks on entries – reporting any errors to Manager.
* Complete LOEs and AMLRs as required.
* Undertake billing responsibilities as required.
* Maintain opportunities list in workbooks.
* Work out of hours, when required, to process urgent customs declarations.
* Carry out administration tasks to assist the partner as appropriate including scheduling and documenting regular team meetings.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Ability to use/learn customs software (AEB) and systems operated by HMRC as appropriate.
* Ability to key information quickly and accurately.
* You may from time to time be required to attend courses (internal and external) to aid you in the capacity to fulfil your role.
* Develop knowledge of CCH
* Develop knowledge of workbooks
