SC cleared Electrician – min 12mth contract (outside IR35) - Reading based
Circa £35-40p/h (outside IR35 & dependent on current hourly rate) + average 45hr working week + overtime rates + long-term site-based contract work
A hugely successful, global organisation is looking to engage with a qualified
Electrician with current SC clearance
to work at a high security location for min 12month contract & rolling.
Electrician
remit includes:
* Perform routine and emergency maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair or replace faulty electrical components and machinery.
* Install a range of electrical systems, including lighting, heating, smart controls, alarms, and fibre-optic cabling.
* Conduct tests and inspections on electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are safe and fully operational.
* Build and maintain electrical control panels and other control systems for various applications.
* Operate and maintain electrical power generation equipment and other ground-based electrical machinery essential for military operations.
* Uphold strict safety protocols, including working at height, managing hazardous substances (COSHH), and using appropriate PPE, to ensure a safe working environment.
* Provide guidance, advice, and training to other engineering and maintenance staff.
* Ensure reports are completed accurately & uploaded in a timely manner.
Electrician
profile:
* Apprentice Served qualified Electrician (Part 1&2 and level 3).
* Min 5-10 years' experience as a qualified Electrician.
* C&G 18th edition wiring accreditation.
* Current SC clearance in place.
* Experience working in high-security locations such as Military / MOD bases, nuclear sites, police stations, prisons etc.
* C&G 2391 inspection and testing desirable.
* Excellent report, presentation & communication skills, both verbal and written.
