We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team and ensure our operations meet all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
* Ensure company policies and procedures comply with the UK Gambling Commission regulations, as well as international licensing requirements.
* Monitor changes in legislation, licensing, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and data protection (GDPR) requirements and update internal policies accordingly.
* Prepare, review, and submit regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
AML & Safer Gambling
* Conduct customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing monitoring of customer activity.
* Assist with transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reports (SARs), and AML risk assessments.
* Support the Safer Gambling team in identifying and managing at-risk players, ensuring tools and interventions are in place.
Internal Compliance Framework
* Maintain and update internal compliance manuals, training materials, and policies.
* Deliver staff training sessions on AML, responsible gambling, GDPR, and other regulatory matters.
* Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
Reporting & Communication
* Act as a key liaison with regulators, auditors, and industry bodies.
* Report on compliance KPIs and risks to senior management.
* Provide guidance to business units (marketing, payments, customer service, product) to ensure compliance integration across the company.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a compliance, AML, or regulatory role, ideally within online gambling, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
* Strong understanding of UKGC regulations, AML legislation (MLRs 2017), GDPR, and Safer Gambling requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence colleagues at all levels.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Desirable Skills
* ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent compliance/AML qualification.
* Experience with international gaming jurisdictions (MGA, Gibraltar, etc.).
* Background in risk management or legal.
