ADAS, part of the RSK Grou p are recruiting for an exciting new position as the Director of Wayleaves and Consents, leading our wayleaves team, with shared oversight of another with RSK Group company, Consents Solutions. This role is a full time, permanent position based on remote basis with the expectancy to travel to a regional office when required.
ADAS is the UK’s largest independent environmental and agricultural consultancy. Our goal as a company is two-fold: secure British food and enhance the environment. Established over 75 years ago and part of RSK Group since 2016, we offer high-quality, research-based tailored solutions for a wide-ranging client base.
Our Wayleaves Team provide a professional service to the Utility Sector and we are looking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated technical expert with the energy and drive to lead or offering and growth the business. The working arrangement will be flexible but regular travel will be required.
The Role:
1. Managing and growing the existing team
2. Taking a technical lead of the wayleaves and consenting offer
3. Business development
4. Tender writing and quoting
5. Assisting in the management a P&L
6. Identifying strategic opportunities for business growth
7. Building internal and external client relationships to grow the business
Successful candidates will:
8. Be RICS accredited to MRICS level
9. Knowledge and experience and evidence of the D.C.O. order and a demonstration of working on projects falling under that act..
10. Understanding and knowledge and evidence of working under the legislation of the Utilities sector, to include gas, water, electricity, telecoms and renewables, including both on and off-shore wind, solar and battery projects
11. Expert witness experience is desired, but not essential
12. Drive the strategic direction of the wayleaves and consenting offer.
Person specification:
13. A full driving licence will be required as will the need for flexible working with regard to type of work, timing and location.
14. A good knowledge of utilities industry, agriculture and the rural environment.
