German-Speaking People Generalist (EMEA)
We’re partnering with a London-based global consumer business known for its energy, strong values, and people-first mindset. Operating in a fast-moving, international environment, the business places real importance on creating a positive, well-run employee experience across its EMEA teams.
They’re now looking for a German-speaking People Generalist to join their London team and provide hands-on HR support across the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on Germany and Spain.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, building trusted relationships with managers, and ensuring strong, compliant people practices in a multi-country setting.
What you’ll be doing
* Delivering end-to-end HR operational support across onboarding, probation, performance management, role changes, and offboarding
* Acting as the first point of contact for Germany and Spain, advising managers on policies, procedures, and best practice
* Managing routine employee relations matters including disciplinary, capability, and performance processes
* Supporting investigations and hearings where required
* Ensuring compliance with local employment legislation, working time regulations, and data protection requirements
* Liaising with external legal, payroll, and HR advisors to support operational delivery
* Providing operational oversight of payroll across EMEA, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
* Supporting recruitment coordination, onboarding, learning, and performance processes
* Acting as a key operational user of HR systems and ATS platforms, supporting data accuracy, reporting, audits, and continuous improvement (experience with Greenhouse and HRIS systems highly desirable)
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in a People Generalist / HR Operations role, ideally within a multi-country or EMEA environment
* Fluent German and English (essential)
* Strong working knowledge of German employment law
* Highly systems-savvy, comfortable working with HRIS (UKG) and recruitment systems
* Confident managing ER cases and day-to-day HR operations
* Organised, pragmatic, and people-focused
* CIPD qualified or part-qualified preferred
Working pattern
* Hybrid working model
* Office-based Tuesday to Thursday (the rest from home)
* Some international exposure as part of the EMEA remit
Salary includes bonus and some fabulous benefits, including 31 days holiday (with BH on top) and up to 10% bonus!!
