Riviera Travel is embarking on a major transformation of our core Reservations Platform one of the most important systems in our award-winning tour operator business. To support this journey, we are looking for a Test Manager who can design, lead, and deliver a comprehensive testing regime that ensures our new platform is robust, reliable, and ready for the future.

About the role
As our Test Manager, you will take ownership of the full testing lifecycle for the Reservations Platform replacement programme. You will design and manage a rigorous Business Test strategy covering UAT, end‑to‑end integrated testing, non‑functional testing, and business continuity rehearsal.
You will coordinate testing activities across Product Owners, the Data Migration Lead, the Change Manager, BAs, SMEs, and future users, supported by a dedicated Test Analyst. Your leadership will ensure that every part of the business is confident in the new platform before going live.
This role is primarily focused on driving test strategy, governance, and best practice leadership, while still requiring a hands-on approach when needed to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage all aspects of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and end-to-end business testing
* Work with Business Analysts to define clear and testable acceptance criteria from user stories
* Coach business users and analysts in writing high-quality test scripts
* Review and assure the quality of test scripts before execution
* Plan, commission and assure the provision and refresh of test data to meet test volumes and scenarios
* Lead defect triage and prioritization sessions with the implementation partner to ensure timely resolution and retest
* Perform hands-on testing where needed to support the team and ensure coverage
* Track and report on test execution progress, defect status, and retest cycles
* Put in place robust reporting tools and dashboards to monitor testing outcomes
* Collaborate with IT colleagues to define the scope and approach for non-functional testing including volume/stress testing and business continuity scenarios
* Ensure testing activities are aligned with project timelines and business priorities
* Communicate testing progress and risks clearly to stakeholders
Skills Experience & Competencies
* Strong experience managing UAT and business testing on large IT projects
* Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases and managing defect resolution
* Proven ability to lead defect triage and work closely with technical teams
* Experience coaching and supporting business users in testing activities
* Excellent planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail
* Strong reporting skills, including use of tools to track and present testing progress
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing outcomes
* Practical experience using Test Management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, JIRA)
