Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with UK GAAP or IFR by maintaining, develop and improving internal controls to ensuring compliance with financial policies, accounting processes and procedures. Liaise with Auditors, HMRC, and other external Stakeholders as required. Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports, collaborating with other Departments to provide financial insights, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities to assist with commercial and business operational performance, providing regular performance reports to Management and Senior Stakeholders. Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and monitor cash flow. Manage and co-ordinate in conjunction with the Finance Assistant payroll, VAT returns, tax submissions, invoicing, and debtor / creditor control activities. Support the Hyspec Finance Assistant on day-to-day financials activities. Qualifications / Skills / Experience Nearing completion of or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, accounting principles and practices. Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software e.g. Sage or similar accounting platforms. Excellent and concise oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present and explain information clearly to onsite non-finance staff, including direct reporting to Senior Stakeholders / Board Members company wide.
