Job Title: Vehicle Preparation Technician
Location: Consett, County Durham, DH8
Salary: £35,000 basic + bonus (OTE £39,000)
Working Days: Monday to Friday (No weekends)
An established independent used car dealership in Consett is looking for a Vehicle Preparation Technician to join their friendly and professional team. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician looking for excellent work–life balance and strong earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing used vehicles to a high standard prior to sale
* Carrying out servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance
* Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
* Diagnosing and rectifying minor mechanical and electrical faults
* Ensuring all vehicles meet safety and quality standards
Qualifications & Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification
* Previous workshop or dealership experience preferred
* Strong attention to detail and pride in work
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm (No weekend work)
