Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer/Multitrade to join our team at PJK Contracts.
Plastering experience is ESSENTIAL plus a second trade - preferably floor fitting, carpentry, kitchen/bathroom fitting, tiling, decorating etc.
The types of work we carry out varies. No two days are the same. On the plastering side, you may be asked to:
* Chop out and patch repair areas of damaged ceilings or walls
* Hack off defective plaster and two-coat exposed brick walls
* Board out studwork and boxing in with edging and skim
* Take down/put up full ceilings (with or without insulation) and skim
* Fit plaster coving
* Carry out EML crack repairs (training can be given).
* Etc
You will generally be working alone therefore it would be preferable if you can carry out basic electrical work (loosening sockets, taking down light fittings etc) and basic plumbing work (removing/refitting radiators).
Requirements
* Proven experience as a plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of plastering techniques and materials.
* Ability to work with power tools and hand tools effectively.
* Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* You must be able to drive and hold a full license.
* Take pride in maintaining a tidy work van, and keeping tools and equipment in good working condition.
