Kenton Black Finance is recruiting for a Collections Specialist based in Blackburn. The company employs about 135 staff, has a turnover of approximately £100 million, and has been operating for over 40 years. The role involves working with a team of 7 staff, with a hybrid working arrangement. Benefits include 25 days of annual leave, life insurance, income protection, and sick pay.
Your Role as Collections Specialist:
1. Handle incoming calls from customers, brokers, agents, solicitors, and third parties, ensuring compliance with data protection and money laundering guidelines.
2. Make outbound calls using best practices and professional telephone manners.
3. Manage ARUDD files daily.
4. Handle arrears calls related to failed direct debits and escalate repossession actions when necessary.
5. Coordinate with agents or solicitors for asset repossession.
6. Manage administration and liquidation processes for businesses.
7. Process credit and debit card payments online.
8. Produce and issue legal notices and statements daily.
9. Investigate customer accounts and assets using online tools.
10. Handle administrative correspondence.
11. Assist in training new staff members.
Experience & Skills Required:

Essential Skills:
* Financial, analytical, and numerical skills.
* Strong writing and telephone negotiation skills.

* Knowledge of Asset Finance and related financial products.
* Excel data analysis for reporting.
Salary & Benefits:
* Salary: £26,000 - £30,000
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
* Pension contributions starting at 3%, increasing to 5% or up to 10% after 2 years.
