While working on live television programmes, whether in the Salford studios or occasionally as part of an outside broadcast, assist the content editor, presenter and studio guests to ensure accuracy and the highest editorial standards - checking and enhancing the script and graphics, writing copy for broadcast, answering queries and offering suggestions which provide added value for our audiences.
Detailed and robust editorial research ahead of and during big sporting events is a key part of the role. This includes writing in-depth major event guidebooks which are used across the BBC and renowned in the industry worldwide.
Work collaboratively within a team, building and maintaining effective relationships across BBC Sport.
Plan and organise work efficiently, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
