200 Conference & Events is a prestigious, conference and events venue located in the heart of Glasgow’s commercial and financial district. With exceptional facilities and unmatched flexibility, we deliver premium event experiences for corporate, private, and leisure clients alike. We’re currently seeking a talented and driven Head Chef to join our vibrant team. This exciting role will be central to our growth strategy, responsible for elevating our brand, delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Role Overview The role will cover a diverse range of catering services including conferences, private dining,banqueting, and the staff restaurant, ensuring outstanding food quality and service at all times. In addition to overseeing the city centre venue, the Head Chef will also hold overall responsibility for our occasional-use venues in Bishopbriggs and Larkhall, with on-site attendance required approximately once per month. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage kitchen operations across the city centre venue, ensuring exceptional food standards for conferences, banqueting, private dining, and staff catering. Design and deliver creative, seasonal menus that meet the diverse requirements of our clients and guests. Manage food costs, budgets, stock control, and supplier relationships to achieve commercial targets. Uphold strict standards of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance across all venues. Collaborate with Events, Banqueting, and F&B teams to provide bespoke menu solutions for a variety of functions. Support sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and responsible sourcing. Ensure smooth interdepartmental coordination to guarantee flawless event execution. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a conference centre, or high-volume events venue. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, train, and motivate teams across multiple sites. A flair for menu innovation and presentation, with strong commercial awareness. Excellent organisational skills Knowledge of food cost control, GP targets, and budgeting. Relevant culinary qualifications and current food hygiene certification. Flexibility to attend Bishopbriggs and Larkhall venues as required. What We Offer Competitive salary.
