I’m recruiting on behalf of a client based in Middlesbrough who are looking for a Part-Time Accounts Administrator to support their finance function.
This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis and offers flexible working hours—ideal for someone seeking work-life balance while using their accounting skills in a busy, friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Day-to-day accounting support including data entry and invoice processing
2. Purchase and sales ledger maintenance and reconciliation
3. Matching purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier invoices
4. Performing bank reconciliations
5. Managing the accounts inbox and responding to supplier queries
6. Supporting credit control and payment chasing
7. Preparing payment runs and remittance advice
8. Updating financial records and maintaining organised documentation
9. Processing payroll (weekly and/or monthly), including timesheet entry, statutory payments, and FPS submissions to HMRC
10. Liaising with pension providers and ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment regulations
11. Supporting general administrative duties within the finance team
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
12. Experience with Sage and Sage Payroll
13. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
14. A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Details:
15. £26,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)
16. 20-25 hours per week - flexible working pattern
