Job Overview: Role: Support Worker Location: Dinnington - S25 Hours: Full Time: 37.5 per week Shifts: Waking Nights - 11pm until 7am Pay: £13.45 per hour Will include weekends Please Note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this vacancy About the Role: As a Support Worker, you'll be a vital part of the daily lives of those you support. You'll provide both emotional and practical assistance to adults with: Learning disabilities and autism Challenging behaviours Sensory impairments and communication difficulties Within your role you can expect to do the following responsibilities: Provide personal care, emotional support, and promote independence Assist with daily living tasks - cooking, cleaning, medication, etc. Encourage involvement in hobbies and activities (e.g. swimming, football, travel) Build trusting, positive relationships with individuals and their families Support during moments of crisis and celebrate personal achievements Work as part of a compassionate, values-driven care team No two days are the same - rewarding, varied, and people-focused role Full training provided - ideal for both experienced carers and those new to care What You'll Need: A kind, compassionate, and proactive attitude Person-centred care approach Excellent communication skills Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Confidence supporting individuals with complex and challenging needs Previous experience in social care (desirable but not essential) Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (advantageous but not required) Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act (desirable) What's in it for You?
