We are recruiting for a permanent Electrician position based in Ashington, joining a well established property maintenance team working across a variety of domestic and commercial sites.
The successful Electrician will have experience in carrying out repairs, maintenance, and inspection work on both planned and reactive jobs.
This role involves working across multiple locations, so a full UK driving licence is required as a vehicle will be provided. Candidates should have strong knowledge of their trade along with a practical understanding of wider construction methods and materials. Being reliable, organised, and focused on delivering a high standard of service is essential.
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £38,225 - £43,000
Electrician Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out electrical repairs, installations, and testing across domestic and commercial properties.
* Respond to a mix of scheduled works and urgent repairs.
* Assist with general multiskilled tasks where needed to complete jobs.
* Travel between properties using the provided company vehicle.
* Maintain accurate records of all works and report any follow up requirements.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety policies.
Essential Requirements:
* Holds a recognised UK qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Must have 18th Edition wiring regulations and Testing & Inspection certification.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Experience working in property maintenance or facilities management would be advantageous.
* A practical hands on approach with good problem solving skills.
* Someone who takes pride in their work and always puts the customer first.
* Strong communication skillset with ability to meet deadlines.
