We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity to join our prestigious client based in Cheshunt. As a Trade Counter Sales Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for new customers while also maintaining strong relationships with a loyal base of returning clients.
This role requires someone who can build and sustain excellent customer relationships while delivering prompt, knowledgeable, and accurate service to meet their needs. By following the sales process efficiently, you will help ensure outstanding customer satisfaction, accurate paperwork, and proper stock and till management.
This is a full-time, on-site position working Monday to Friday, 6:30 am – 4:30 pm (with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break). Our client is offering this position on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with a salary of £26,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience) plus a company bonus scheme.
The successful candidate will take ownership of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness at the trade counter, be physically fit to assist with loading vehicles when required, and possess a confident telephone manner. Strong computer literacy is essential for processing quotes, sales, deliveries, and directing orders to sites via our system.
Daily
* Coffee machine and surrounding area, cleaned, emptied and restocked. Area also kept clean during the day.
* Floor hoovered as soon as needed. Counter to appear clean and fresh at all times.
* Trade counter fully stocked every day, stock rotated and tidied.
* Car park to be checked daily and kept free from rubbish.
* To take charge and responsibility for the majority of sales (70%) on the trade counter. Only using the Trade Sales Manager as an overspill or to cover lunches and breaks wherever possible. Using warehouse staff to assist in picking if needed, when TSM is out of branch.
* Make a minimum of 5 proactive calls per day with existing customers.
* Record results and put onto crm system.
* Be aware of activity and upcoming activity on your accounts all noted on crm.
* To aid in hitting all pre agreed targets
Ongoing:
* Work with trade sales manager regarding promotions and offers on existing/new products.
* Actively upsell and cross sell to achieve higher ATV.
* To maintain and keep relevant displays in the trade counter.
* Efficiently manage the quote bank qualifying quotes within a 72 hour period. Post results on crm.
* Be aware of all budgets, daily run rate, monthly/quarterly and yearly figures.
* Consistently maintaining or bettering 43% margin. For anything less than 30% (unless it goes direct) run it past the sales manager.
* Get behind any trade desk promotions and actively use them as a tool to maximise sales.
* Maximise information from customers coming into the trade counter, with a view to gaining more business.
