Do you want to be part of a project aimed at helping young people across Cardiff who are experiencing homelessness? \n\nHow about working for a charity that is well known across the world for being there to help and support others? \n\nWe are looking for two Youth Support Workers to do just that.\n\nYou'll be there to listen, advise and support.
To act with compassion, respect and understanding. All the while, promoting client choices and assisting in the delivery of a successful programme. \n\nTHIS IS A 30 HOURS PER WEEK POSITION\n\nWhat will you get?
\n\nSalary of £27,600 (pro rata for part time)\nThis equates to £13.31 per hour\nTemporary Contract - with a view to moving towards a permanent position\nThe option to cover other shifts \nPension scheme\nGood holiday entitlement\n30 hours per week\nCovering various shift patterns: 7am to 3pm / 1pm to 9pm / 8am to 8pm \nWorking on a rota \n\nWhat do you need?\n\nExperience of working with young people, or those who have been through homelessness \nAn understanding of trauma and how it can effect behaviours \nThe ability to work with others, encourage them and understand their complex lives \nBe non-judgemental and empathetic \nAble to communicate at all levels \nWilling to cover various shift patterns \nBe motivated to help others \nAble to complete a DBS check or have a live check on the update service (this will be covered by the employer) \n\nWhat will I do? \n\nYou'll work at one of two projects across Cardiff set up specifically to support young people\nYou'll work within a psychologically informed framework\nAiming to deliver zero evictions within the projects\nOffer post-resettlement support to young people \nHelp them to move and settle in to independent living once they are ready\nComplete risk assessments and support plans\nTake on a caseload of 10 to 12 young people\nWork in in trauma informed environment \n\nWhat do I do next? \n\nApply through this advert, or contact Keeran @ Moxie People for more information.
