Purchase Ledger Assistant
Location: Westbury
Salary: £12.71 per hour (circa £26,437 per annum)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (40 hours per week)
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a reliable and detail-focused Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a busy finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time, supporting strong supplier relationships and effective financial controls across the business.
You will be responsible for managing a high volume of purchase invoices, maintaining supplier accounts, and working closely with internal departments to resolve queries and discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
Maintaining supplier accounts and ensuring records are up to date
Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
Resolving invoice and payment queries with suppliers and internal teams
Supporting payment runs and month-end processes
Ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures and controlsSkills and Experience Required
Previous experience within a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
Confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal teams
Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
Professional and discreet approach when handling financial information
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processesSummary
