Finance Manager
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
Location: Sheffield (Hybrid - minimum 3 days onsite)
Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a fast-growing, PE-backed manufacturing business based in Sheffield. This is a pivotal role for a qualified finance professional (CIMA/ACCA) currently in a Management Accountant or Finance Manager looking for a step up into a new role where they can add real value in a dynamic environment.
The Role
Reporting to the UK Managing Director with a dotted line into a Group Finance Director, you will take ownership of all financial operations for the UK entities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Financial Management & Reporting: Lead monthly and annual management accounts and statutory reporting; ensure compliance with UK and US GAAP.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage budgeting cycles, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity control.
3. Operational Finance: Partner with operations and supply chain to track COGS, inventory valuation, and production efficiency.
4. Leadership: Manage and develop a small finance team (AP and Credit Control).
5. Compliance & Audit: Act as key contact for auditors and ensure adherence to governance standards.
The Ideal Candidate
6. Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
7. Proven experience in a finance role within manufacturing or other industrial sectors.
8. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems.
9. Commercially astute with excellent analytical and leadership skills.
10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.
