We're working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, to recruit a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Your Role:
Provide 1:1 classroom support to a Year 1 pupil with ASD
Use visual aids, structured routines, and sensory strategies to aid learning
Build a trusting relationship to encourage confidence and independence
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lesson plans
Monitor and report on progress and behavioural needsWhat We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children with ASD, ideally in a school setting
Calm, nurturing and consistent approach
Ability to follow EHCP targets and work closely with staff and parents
