A growing engineering business with £500m annual turnover and operations across Europe is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Stockport.
You'll work on major data centre infrastructure projects, supporting the delivery of critical power systems including HV networks, substations, and grid connections powering the UK's digital
economy.
This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer with 3–5 years' experience looking to build a long-term career in the fast-growing mission-critical sector.
The Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll support the design, coordination, and delivery of high-voltage and power infrastructure across multiple data centre developments.
You will work across office, hybrid, and project environments, collaborating with experienced engineers and project teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the design and delivery of HV power infrastructure and substations
Assisting with electrical engineering calculations, reports, and technical documentation
Coordinating with project teams, contractors, and suppliers
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and installation standards
Supporting commissioning and project delivery phases
Ensuring compliance with UK standards and safety requirements
Contributing to technical problem solving on live projects
What We're Looking For
Electrical Engineering background
3–5 years' experience in power, utilities, building services, or infrastructure projects
Interest in data centres, HV systems, or mission-critical environments
Understanding of electrical distribution systems and substations is beneficial
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desire to develop a long-term career in a high-growth sector
