SPC oversees firms and individuals (supervision), creates and reviews the rules by which they operate (policy) and identifies and remedies ineffective competition in markets (competition). Sitting in the Specialist Directorate, the Financial Crime Market Intervention (FCMI) department provides the FCA with specialist financial crime expertise to support its strategic objective by helping to minimise the risk of regulated businesses being used for purposes connected with financial crime.
Role Responsibilities
* Support the Management team and wider department by liaising with internal and external stakeholders organising diary management, secretarial tasks, and general admin
* Schedule internal and external meetings, arrange on‑site visits, prepare digital meeting packs, and handle travel and room bookings like a pro
* Take charge of uploading, labelling, and managing documents in SharePoint from Egress or other systems, ensuring everything is neat and accessible
* Provide ad hoc support on exciting projects and initiatives across the department, working closely with FCMI managers and contributing to meaningful work
* Gain exposure to one of the organisation’s top priorities fighting financial crime while developing PA skills, building relationships, and stretching beyond core admin tasks
