Job Title: Casual Sports Coach (Female-Led Sessions)

Job Purpose
To lead the delivery of inclusive, fun, and safe sports sessions for women and girls, supporting increased participation and confidence in physical activity within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality sports and activity sessions tailored to the needs of female participants.
* Create a welcoming, inclusive and empowering environment for all attendees.
* Engage and motivate participants, supporting their physical, social and emotional development.
* Ensure all sessions are delivered safely and in accordance with DSY's safeguarding and health and safety policies.
* Complete basic monitoring and evaluation tasks (e.g., attendance registers, feedback forms).
* Always act as a positive ambassador for Disability Sport Yorkshire.
Person Specification
* Female (occupational requirement).
* Experience of delivering sports or activity sessions.
* Positive, inclusive and engaging communication style.
* A commitment to equality, inclusion and supporting underrepresented groups in sport.
* Ability to motivate and support participants of different ages and abilities.
* Willingness to work flexible hours (e.g., evenings or weekends).
* Standard DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
* Safeguarding and First Aid training (or willingness to complete).
* A recognised coaching qualification (e.g., Level 1/2 or equivalent in a sport or physical activity).
* Lived experience of disability or understanding of the barriers facing disabled and inactive women.
* Experience working with girls and women in community settings.
